 Before launching my 25-year career in the life sciences industry, I began my professional journey as a bilingual first-grade teacher’s aide, teaching Spanish classes over the summer. Those early years were some of the most fulfilling of my life — a time when I felt deeply connected to my community, helping young children learn, grow, and find their confidence.

As my career evolved, I carried that same passion for learning and human development into the life sciences field, while also nurturing my love for travel and dance outside of work. Fast forward 25 years, and I’m now the proud mom of two wonderful teenagers — each inspiring me in their own unique way to keep learning, adapting, and giving back.

In 2023, our family relocated to North Dallas, Texas. My daughter quickly found her rhythm through dance and music, while my son, then 13, faced a new challenge: he had aged out of most programs available for children diagnosed with autism. After nearly two years of searching, we found a behavioral center that could meet his needs as a growing teen — but the journey revealed a much larger gap in resources for adolescents like him.

That realization became the spark for Johnny’s Center — a place designed to fill that gap by offering structured, non-clinical enrichment opportunities that help neurodiverse teens connect, express, and thrive.
